i am so excited! last week i ordered from Amazon this beautiful book by The Farm Chicks, it's called "The Farm Chicks In The Kitchen". the book caught my eye because of that beautiful apple pie in the front of the book. i collect cookbooks, so this one was really one i wanted. i just received the book today and i am absolutely in love with the book. i love how the authors, who are good friends, Terri Edwards and Serena Thompson tell us a little about themselves and then they tell how The Farm Chicks started. i love hearing stories about stay at home moms (the hardest job, but worth it) who turn what they love to do around the house and for family and friends and turn it into a prosperous business. that's so fascinating and also inspirational. you must check this book out. the images are so colorful and beautiful and they share great recipes and crafts. if you love that thrifty, retro, country, pretty look, this book is for you. the stories about their life and start is very motivating. overall the book is done in good taste. now, i have to go and finish reading it.

I am a stay-at-home Mom myself and that book sounds really interesting to me.
Your previous post with the Bella Pilar illustrations is just awesome.
Hello Sweet Charmaine!! I will have to check out these books! I am so attracted to books and knowledge about how to be self-sufficient (but in a pretty way :) so these girls sound as if they're right up my alley!! Oh, thank you so much for the kind compliments on my girls' cupcakes!! I was amazed as well, they are truly talented (and the cupcakes were soooo good...I"m still trying to recover from eating too many!). Also, I totally agree with you about the stay-at-home mom's job being amongst the hardest. I stayed home with all three of my children and they are all such good, kind, loving, productive young (almost) adults. I like to think that my being there for them 24/7 contributed to this :) if only in a small way. Okay my kind friend...I am off to read more of your blog and to look up these intriguing cookbooks on Amazon.com! God Bless you and your family.
Warmly,
Traceyxox
